White Water Rafting

Costa Rica has the blessing of year round waterways, offering the option of white water rafting to navigate a river and its exciting rapids.White water rafting is an extreme and thrilling outdoor activity for adventuresome people. We offer four options of rivers with different rafting levels, the only option that doesn’t require experience is Savegre River, to be able to enjoy the other rivers you must have experience, know how to paddle and swim and have the abilities to walk on slippery or unstable places.

This amazing white water rafting tour includes snack and lunch, transportation and the necessary professional equipment. Please do not forget to wear your bathing suit!

Savegre River:

Rapids class II and III. Originates in Los Santos Forest Reserve, 11km from Rio Blanco to El Silencio. It is a fun river for beginners and experienced rafters. The Savegre River is considered the most pristine river in Costa Rica. It is the perfect rafting river for families and young kids. During the descent you will have the chance to enjoy the canyons, run fun rapids, hike to a waterfall, and enjoy tropical scenery. Runs all year round.

CotoBrus River:

Rapids class III and IV. Full day rafting adventure. Originates in Amistad National Park, 14km from Tablas to Potrero Grande. It is a fun run for the adventurous traveler. The CotoBrus River is known for its beautiful scenery, exciting rapids, the greenness that surrounds it and the diversity of wildlife that you can find on it. Since other boaters are rarely found there, it is a virgin river for rafting. It is simply an unforgettable adventure. Runs all year round.

Guabo River:

Rapids Class II, III+, V Portage. Originates in the Baru Mountains and flows from Fila Las Nubes. 10km, Tres Piedras section to Dominical. The Guabo River has a lot to offer such as exuberant vegetation, a pristine canyon, swimming holes with a diving rock and an exciting descent. During the run you will have the chance to hike waterfalls, enjoy its richness in wildlife and unique scenery. Runs from August to November.

Chorros River:

Rapids Class III and IV. This river has an incredible backdrop of the canyon with a lot of rapids, people call this river “The Mini Pacuare” for the scenic views and its accelerating drops. You will have lunch in a typical local restaurant at the end of the tour. This River has a lot to offer such as exuberant vegetation, a pristine canyons and swimming holes.
